Conference Programme

The XXIII AISSEC Scientific Conference will be held at the University of Verona - Vicenza Univr Hub, on 13-14^th June 2024.

In accordance with the mission of the Association, the Conference aims to provide a platform for researchers to present and discuss research results related to the relationship between economic development, (de)globalization, and vulnerability from a comparative perspective. The Scientific Committee encourages the submission of both theoretical and empirical contributions addressing (yet not limited to) the following topics:

• (De)Globalization
• Climate change
• Green economy/Sustainable development 
• Migration
• Demography/Female employment
• Human capital 
• Inequality
• Health
• Institutions
• Trade/value chains
• Economic Transition

The list of confirmed keynote speakers includes:

• Oliver Morrissey (University of Nottingham)
• Milica Uvalic (University of Perugia and EUI)
• Klaus F. Zimmerman (UNU-MERIT, Maastricht University and GLO)

The working language of the conference is English.

 

Important dates

Papers/Extended Abstracts should be submitted by 15^th March through the online form bellow.

Notification of acceptance will be sent via Email by 27^th March.

Early bird registration will be possible until 22^nd April.

The final registration should be done by 12^th May.  

 

Fees

Young researchers and PhD students are encouraged to apply and will be able to benefit from lower fees.

Social activities

On 13^th June, at the end of the first day of the Conference, participants are invited to the social dinner.

After the Conference, on 14^th June, we organize a visit to the Palladio Museum and the Basilica Palladiana.
